The modern bike with the biggest cult following. The Ducati Sport Classic 1000s is a biposto variance of the sought after 2006 Paul Smart monoposto.
The bike, based on a bike, based on a bike, in homage of a bike.
The Ducati Sport Classic 1000s is based on the Paul Smart. The Paul Smart’s design is based on the Ducati MH900e. The MH900e was designed as a homage to the 900ss Mike Hailwood rode to victory in 1978 at the Isle of Man TT. Hence the MH initials in the name. But wait. Ducati also said the bike was actually based on the 750 Imola Desmo competition bike Paul Smart used in 1972 and the 1974 750s. Homages everywhere. Who cares, the bike is beautiful.
Air-cooled engine
One of my favorite things about this bike is the air-cooled V-twin engine.
The headers are also heat-wrapped.
Overall thoughts:
Quite possibly my number one choice for an obtainable bike.

Post Disclaimer: I’m not a billboard, nor do I get paid for reviewing these brands. I wear what I wear. I mention them only to anticipate the questions of where everything is from. I’ll let you know if that ever changes and I become like Roger Federer.
